Warranties

Warranty periods are subject to the following terms and conditions Capacities (C20)The battery is then shipped with the brand and the specific application of the batteries, as detailed below:

Warranty Coverage

The warranty is a service offered by the manufacturer and covers exclusively manufacturing and/or material defects.

Warranty coverage not applicable under the following circumstances, considered as misuse, poor maintenance or external damage:

  • Physical damage, such as bumps, cracks or scratches on the battery housing.
  • Incorrect application (example: using a standard battery in a vehicle with Start-Stop technology, which requires AGM/EFB).
  • Inadequate battery capacity for excess or deficiency with respect to the requirements of the vehicle or application.
  • Negligence, accident, abuse or abnormal use of the item, including prolonged storage of the item, including prolonged storage no periodic recharges or lack of regular maintenance.
  • Use of a unsuitable, defective charger or application of a inadequate load curve for battery technology.
  • Incomplete loading cycles o repeated deep discharges.
  • Insufficient maintenance (electrolyte level below the required level), presence of dirt or sulfation in the terminals.
  • Opening or manipulation of batteries designed to be sealed products.

Important Note: The date of manufacture of the battery does not constitute, under any circumstances, a valid reason for a warranty claim or return. The warranty period starts to run only from the date of sale to the end customer. In case of replacement, the replaced battery shall be covered by the remaining period of the original warranty.


Warranty Application Procedure

To handle any warranty claim, the customer must follow the following protocol:

Warranty Application and Management Procedure

To initiate a warranty claim, the customer must follow the notification and documentation protocol detailed below:

Notification of Anomaly
  • If you have a Commercial Representative: The customer must contact your sales representative directly and inform him/her of the anomaly. The representative will be in charge of the initial management and will act as a liaison point with VTBATTERIES.
  • If you do not have a Commercial Representative: As soon as the malfunction or anomaly is detected, the customer should immediately contact us via e-mail: pedidos@vtpower.es.

2. Required Documentation

The notification, either through the representative or by e-mail, must include the following information in order to process the request:

  • The complete purchase data (Invoice or Delivery Note Number).
  • A detailed technical description of the problem or failure detected.
  • Clear images of the installation and the condition of the battery that is the subject of the claim.

3. Inspection and Technical Diagnosis
  1. Product Pickup: VTBATTERIES coordinate the collection of the part in claim by courier service. The customer also has the option of sending the product by his own means, assuming the initial shipping costs.
  2. Evaluation: The product will be evaluated and diagnosed by the supplier at our technical facilities.
  3. Deadline: The maximum period for technical diagnosis is up to 14 working days..

4. Resolution

Once the check has been completed, VTBATTERIES communicate the resolution to the customer or commercial representative, as appropriate:

  • If the defect is covered by warranty (attributable to production): The following will be carried out replenishment of the product at no cost to the customer.
  • If the defect is not covered by the warranty (anomaly not attributable to manufacturing, according to the defined exclusions): The battery will be returned to the customer. In this case, the customer you will have to pay the shipping costs associated with the pick-up and return shipping service.
